The doorboy® project came into being at the beginning of the covid pandemic at the start of 2020. At that time, the idea came up internally to develop a door opener that would allow doors to be opened without touching them with the hand. At that time, the Federal Office of Public Health assumed that the Covid virus could be transmitted by touching objects.
However, the doorboy® is not only suitable in the event of a pandemic, but is also ideal for use on toilet doors. By opening the door with the forearm, hands remain free of germs and thus stay clean.
